CANHR’s Home Equity Protection Program (HEPP) is a project funded by the State Bar of California to prevent financial mortgage scams and safeguard the homes of California’s low income seniors. HEPP’s mission is to stem the tide of predatory reverse mortgage lending and improper estate planning practices that commonly lead to loss of the home for seniors in low-income communities.
