CANHR mourns the death of Sheila McGorty, who died on June 12, 2008. Sheila was the Coordinator of the Marin County Ombudsman Program for the past 22 years. She was a friend, a colleague, and a passionate advocate for residents of nursing homes and residential care facilities. She will be remembered, not only for her advocacy, but also for her Irish spirit, sense of humor and love of life.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11am Friday, July 18 at St. Raphael Church in San Rafael.
