CANHR mourns the death of Sherry McIlwain, who died earlier this month after a brief illness. Sherry was an experienced geriatric RN, a member of CANHR’s Board of Directors, and a respected member of the Bay Area professional care and case management community. She was also an ardent and eloquent advocate for elders and was instrumental in creating numerous training programs for senior care providers. She leaves behind a large and close family, hundreds of friends and grateful clients, and a legacy of activism. She also leaves a hole in our hearts and will be sorely missed.
