In Memorium: Pearl Caldwell

Pearl Caldwell, a long time CANHR member and – for over 25 years – the Coordinator of CANHR’s Santa Clara County Family Support Group, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011. Pearl was untiring in her advocacy for elders and persons with disabilities. In addition to her work with CANHR, Pearl was an active and involved member of the Santa Clara County Senior Care Commission, the Congress of California Seniors, AARP and numerous other advocacy organizations. Pearl received many awards for her work, including a CANHR “Advocate of the Year” award, and most recently was honored by the Senior Care Commission in Santa Clara County. Pearl’s unfailing good humor, her advocacy and optimism, and – most of all – her friendship, will be sorely missed. Pearl’s loss leaves a gap in the many lives she touched.
