Obamacare Explained: A Guide for Californians

An on-line guide produced by KQED News and The California Report to help Californians steer their way through the health insurance maze. Starting January 1, 2014, most Americans will be required to have health insurance or pay a fine. It’s part of the federal Affordable Care Act. This guide explains how the health law affects you, your family or your small business, here in California. It’s for people who already have insurance and people who don’t — but want to get it. The new health insurance options offered to you as a Californian are outlined and the guide shows you how to access them.
